History
Институт туризма и гостеприимства был создан в 1996 году как структурное подразделение Государственной академии сферы быта и услуг на основании приказа от 11.04.1996г. №37/2. В соответствии с приказом Министерства образования и науки Российской федерации (Минобрнауки России) Институт туризма и гостеприимства переименован в Институт туризма и гостеприимства (г. Москва) (филиал) федерального государственного бюджетного образовательного учреждения высшего профессионального образования «Российский государственный университет туризма и сервиса» (Институт туризма и гостеприимства (г.Москва) (филиал) ФГБОУ ВПО «РГУТиС»). В 2006 – 2011 гг. директором Института являлся кандидат исторических наук, доцент Константин Анатольевич Мазин, в 2011 – 2012 гг. – кандидат технических наук, доцент Елена Викторовна Субботина. С апреля 2012 г. директором Института является проректор университета, кандидат социологических наук доцент Светлана Викторовна Дусенко.
Research
Развитие научных исследований в институте направлено на решение актуальных социально-экономических задач, фундаментальных и прикладных проблем, стоящих перед страной в целом. Все это позволяет обеспечивать высококвалифицированную подготовку научно-педагогических кадров и тем самым активно воздействовать на повышение качества выпускаемых специалистов. Научно-исследовательская работа филиала ФГБОУ ВПО «РГУТиС» организована в соответствии с положением о НИД. Приоритетные направления научной работы в филиале осуществляются в соответствии с решением Ученого Совета ФГБОУ ВПО «Российский государственный университет туризма и сервиса» протокол № 7 от 27 января 2012 г.
В настоящее время научно-исследовательская деятельность университета
осуществляется в рамках:

- аспирантуры, докторантуры и соискательства;
- патентно-лицензионной работы;

RSUTS is a very large and modern University in Russia. It has 7 departments and 15 branches. The departments are: Economics Department, Service Department, Law and Social Studies Department, Technology and Design Department, Tourism and Hospitality Department. The other two are Moscow Region Service Departments in Lubertsy and Podolsk RSUTS has a wide chain of branches. In addition to that there are “Institute of Service, and Institute of Tourism and Hospitality, located in Moscow city.The University is represented by its branches in Smolensk, Kaliningrad, Samara, Volgograd, Sochi, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Pyatigorsk, Yakutsk, Perm, Ekaterinburg, Makhachkala, Kazan, Erevan. Russian State University of Tourism and Service (RSUTS) was founded in 1952 as a Higher School of handicraft cooperation. During its more than a half of a century history, the University has become a leader among the Russian higher educational institutions, which prepare professionals in the field of services and tourism industry.RSUTS is a main methodological center of service and tourism curriculum design which leads and unites educational institutions of Russian Federation specializing in tourism and service training. The Union consists of 267 universities and colleges.

In order to meet the Bologna standards RSUTS boosts up academic and student mobility by organizing training programs in overseas universities and colleges for professors and students. There are more than 1800 international students studying in the University. These are young people from Commonwealth of Independent States and from foreign countries: China, Korea, Nepal, Vietnam, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Chad, Congo, Nigeria, Sudan, Cameroon, and Ethiopia.
International projects
International relations department of RSUTS together with International Business School (Budapest, Hungary) and Oxford Brookes University (Oxford, UK) develops joint educational programs. Students studying and successfully completing joint program towards BA in Business Administration and Management would receive two diplomas. Within collaboration in the field of tourism, hospitality and management University has partnership relations with Kurt Bosh University (Switzerland), MODUL University (Austria), ALPINE CENTER (Greece – Switzerland – Wales), and Institute of Concierges (France).Department collaborates with Greek Training and Recruitment Agency JOB TRUST, therefore RSUTS students are able to join practical training in Greece at hotels, travel agencies and other tourism related companies. RSUTS is a member of Consortium of Community Colleges for International Development (CCID), which allows students and faculties to receive a short-term educational training in any college of USA, Canada and/or Europe.

The Academy offers an excellent opportunity to learn four foreign languages: English, French, Italian and German. Special courses on foreign languages and studies are taught by the native speakers and professional teachers.
There are four computer classes at BAFE equipped with the up-to-date models of computers; Internet access is available through the dedicated channel.

Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) – the leader in the Russian professional education system that assimilated the best traditions of domestic higher education institutions.
The history of Gubkin University starts in 1930 when the Moscow Academy of Mines was reorganized into six Institutes. In this way the Petroleum Engineering Department of Academy became the base for new Moscow Petroleum Institute, which was named in honor of Academician Ivan Gubkin, “due to his tremendous input into organizing efforts of high education for training engineers, needed for the socialist industry”. A delegation of 35 students from the International IT University (IITU) of Almaty, Kazakhstan arrived on Sunday, 30th May at UNITEN under the ticket of the Students Exchange Program between UNITEN and IITU. The students were accompanied by two IITU Directors, Mr. Iskander Aliyev, the Chairperson of Zerde Holdings and Shareholder of IITU and Mrs. Zhanar Mambeyeva, the Vice Pro-Rector of IITU together with 4 lecturers.
This Students Exchange Program is the outcome of the visit by Prof Damir Shynybekov, Rector of IITU to UNITEN and the return visit by AP Dr Siti Salbiah Mohamed Shariff and Prof Ir Dr Kamal Nasharuddin Mustapha to IITU recently where a Memorandum of Understanding was signed on the 2nd March 2010.
Both UNITEN and IITU have identified areas of collaboration and co-operation relating to student exchange, academic program development, postgraduate studies, joint research & teaching and academic quality assurance. This program, which materialised within three months of signing the MOU, shows the committment of both parties to work together in areas of common interest.

Chuvash State University named after I. N. Ulyanov
About university
The decision about the establishment of the Chuvash state university on the base of the Moscow Lenin’s award power engineering institute was made in August, 17, 1967.That day the Soviet of Ministers of the USSR adopted the decision “About the foundation of the Chuvash State University”. There were 7 faculties, they were: historically-philological, medical, generally-technical, chemical, economical, electrical engineering and industry electrification faculties.
The Chuvash state university is named after Ilya Nikolayevich Ulyanov – an outstanding Russian educator, a pedagogue-democrat. Its name was given to the university by the decision of the Soviet of Ministers of the RSFSR from November, 30, 1967.
History
In 1920 the revolutionary committee and the first congress of Councils of the Chuvash Autonomous district made a decision about the university creation in Cheboksary. But at that time the decision was not brought to life. Next time the question about the creation of the Chuvash state university was raised again in 1958-1959, but even then the question could not be decided because of many problems connected with the absence of the material base and lack of the scientific staff in the republic.
The university was formed on 17 August 1967 through a merger of the Volga Branch of the Order of Lenin Moscow Energy Institute and the Historical-Philological Department of the I. Ya. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical Institute. It was named after Ilya Nikolaevich Ulianov, an educator.
Opened already in 1930 the part of historically-philological faculty of the Chuvash pedagogical institute joined the university. By the time of the university creation there had been about 900 students (including 350 full-time students) and highly qualified scientifically-pedagogical staff, 3 professors and 30 senior lecturers among them. The historically-philological faculty got wide popularity and many traditions during its existence.
In1968/69 there was opened the 8th faculty-of Physics and Mathematics at the university.

International activities of the University is carried out in two areas: education and scientific research . One of the main forms of international activities of CSU ‘s education – is the training of foreign students , graduate students, medical residents , interns .
Academic Council approved the “concept of training of foreign specialists in the CSU system of continuing professional education,” according to which in 1991 the university to the preparatory department adopted the first group of foreign citizens in the amount of 24 people to continue their education at medical school . The following year, the number of foreign students at the university, has risen to 95 people . In subsequent years, a contingent of foreign students at the university , dynamically changed in the choice of training programs and expand the geography of the countries from which international students arrive.

University includes among its alumni about 100 general and chief designers, 43 members and associate members of the Russian academy of science, 250 State and Government Prize laureates, and 20 cosmonauts who spent a total of 12 years in outer space.
The present-day MAI is a unique institute of higher education where a thorough theoretical knowledge combines with various practical skills. More than 120 laboratories, 3 student design offices, numerous computer centers, an experimental-design factory, and an aerodrome are available for our students.
History
Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) was founded in 1930 when institutions which specialized in aviation became advanced enough to join into one aircraft engineering education center. More than 130,000 students including 1,000 international students from 40 countries have graduated from MAI after its foundation in 1930. During the early 1930’s, MAI amounted to only 290 students in 2 schools.
But now at the beginning of the twenty first century, our university of aerospace technologies consists of more than 2,300 professors and lecturers including both 450 full-professors (DSc) and 1100 associate professors (PhD) who teach more than 20,000 undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students at 10 schools, 3 institutes, and 4 branches of the University.

MAI international students on the occasion of the “Day of knowledge” which is celebrated on the 1st of September.
Prof. Anatoly Gerashenko, MAI Rector, and Dr. Vitaly Miknis, vice-rector for International affairs, are exchanging souvenirs with Dr. Hur Byung Ki, Chairman of Korea Polytechnic Colleges (KOPO) after signing of a MOU.
The outbreak of MAI international activity dates back to 1991–1992, when the institute was allowed to establish international contacts. At that time an international department was established at the institute. The department was assigned following objectives: to enroll students, post-graduate students and trainees for studying branches available and to establish academic and scientific ties with the leading higher education institutes and aerospace organizations all over the world.
International activity is currently provided by the International cooperation department which consists of two divisions: the Office of International programs which is responsible for foreign relations, and the International Services Office which is in charge of foreign students, post-graduate students and trainees being educated in the institute. Having started from 2 international students in 1992 the international cooperation department managed to make significant progress. It suffices to say that:
approximately 1200 foreign students, post-graduate students and trainees from 38 countries, such as Algeria, Bangladesh, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, the Union of Myanmar, Thailand, India, Mexico, Mongolia, Peru, France, the United States of America, Turkey, Brazil, the CIS countries and others are being educated at the institute;
more than 32 international agreements with various organizations from 9 countries are in force;
more than 200 official foreign delegations have visited the institute for the last five years; as a result of the negotiations more than 60 international agreements on cooperation have been signed;
during the same period more than 1000 professors and students went abroad on business trips to do lecturing and to participate in exhibitions, scientific conferences and round tables;
