The Kazakh National Technical University named after K.I.Satpayev – the flagship of the Republic of engineering education is inextricably linked to the history of our country, its c of higher education. History

In the formation and development of one of the oldest educational institution of the Republic of Kazakhstan can mark out next basic steps:
1934—1960 years — Kazakh Mining and Metallurgical Institute (KazMMI);
In 1999 year for great services in the preparation of engineering and technical staves of the country by the decision of Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan to KazNTU has been given the name of great scientist, academician Kanysh Imantayevich Satpayev. On July 5, 2001 to University has been given the special status by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Research

Research activity in the Kazakh national technical university named after K.I.Satbayev is focused on Mining, Oil and Gas sectors, Metallurgy, Geology, Hydrogeology and Seismology, Architecture and Construction, Information technologies, Mechanical engineering, Automatics and Telecommunications, Economy , others technical subjects and the humanities, in accordance with the priority directions for scientific and technological development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.  The university research and research practical activities are carried out at the expense of:    State budgeting and other financing sources allocated for carrying out fundamental and applied research activities. Funds received as grants from participation in competitions of research projects. Funds allocated on execution of research client contract projects and KazNTU internal research program.

History

На підставах положень національної програми «Освіта», принципів Концепції розвитку гуманітарної освіти в Україні та вимог чинного законодавства, 20 серпня 2002 року був заснований Міжнародний гуманітарний університет як недержавний вищий навчальний заклад з колективною формою власності. Перший набір у 2003 році склав лише 100 вступників. Зараз на чотирьох факультетах та двох інститутах університету навчається понад 3520 студентів. Вони засвоюють програми підготовки фахівців за 17 спеціальностями.

В університеті функціонують культурний центр, кіноклуб. На черзі будівництво 24-х поверхового гуртожитка, конференцзалу, спортивного центру, студентського кафе та найсучаснішого приміщення бібіліотеки.

Research

Перспективи розвитку науки у Міжнародному гуманітарному університеті в сучасних умовах пов’язую з наступними принципами:

  • гуманітаризація технічного та технізація гуманітарного знання, розгортання міждисциплінарних наукових розробок і досягнення завдяки цьому нової якості наукових досліджень і підготовки фахівців;
  • органічне поєднання фундаментальних і прикладних досліджень, технологічне забезпечення і наукове супроводження практичних розробок;

  • співробітництво в області науково-дослідної роботи;

Tashkent University of Information Technologies

About university:

Nowadays TUIT is the largest higher educational institution in Central Asia in the sphere of telecommunications and information systems. The decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 2, 2005 “On improvement of the system of professional training in the sphere of information technologies” stated TUIT as major higher educational institution training specialists in the sphere of information and communication technologies. Educational levels: secondary (2 lyceums), bachelor (15 directions), master’s degree studies (13 specializations), post graduate studies and doctor’s degree studies. The teaching staff is about 400 persons, including 4 academicians, 21 professors, 24 Doctors of Science, 87 candidates of science and associate professors.

More than 9000 students study in the University and its branches. The university has 28 departments and 37 university laboratories, 10 research laboratories and computer centers equipped with own network, modern computers (more than 1800 computers) and multimedia classes (more than 20), information and resource center (library) possessing more than 400000 books.

History

1955 – Tashkent Electro technical Institute of Communication (TEIC) was established.

1960 – Graduation of the first generation of electrical communication engineers from TEIC.

1978 – Representative offices of TEIC department of distance education were established in Frunse (present Bishkek), Dushanbe, Alma – Ata and Fergana.

1993 – Special faculty for training of signalmen officers was established.

1994 – Central Asian Educational Centre for Telecommunications (CAECT) was established under the institute with the view to improve skills of engineers and technicians of Central Asian¬ republics working in the field of communications, as well as those of Mongolia, Pakistan and India.

1997 – Boarding – school attached to the Institute started its activity.

1999 – Academic lyceum attached to the Institute started its activity.

2002 – In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, TEIC was renamed as Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT).

2005 – Regional branches of TUIT were established in Karshi, Nukus, Samarkand, Urgench and Fergana

Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Geology Institute

About University

Geology Institute of Azerbaijan (GIA) was formed in 1938 and now it is the largest scientific institution in Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) wholly occupied with fundamental researches, as well as applied developments in various fields of geology, geophysics, geochemistry, ecogeology and other Earth sciences. There are 23 research departments and 2 laboratories, Natural-Historical Museum after H. Zardabi, Centre of geodynamic research & seismic monitoring (formed in 2003 by CRDF grant, USA), National Data Centre (formed in 2002 within Comprehensive Nuclear Test-Ban-Treaty Organization ratified by Azerbaijan on the 2 nd February, 1999), and 13 functional subdivisions. The Institute’s staff consists of 267 scientific fellows, among them 4 Academicians, 9 Associate Members of ANAS and 157 Doctors of Science and Ph.Ds.

History

In 1926 the Research and Study Society of Azerbaijan (investigations in a filed of geology and geophysics) was established.

In 1932 Azerbaijan subdivision of Transcaucasian branch of Academy of sciences of USSR (AzSTBAS) (study of natural resources of Azerbaijan) was established on the basis of this society.

In 1935 AzSTBAS was reorganized to Azerbaijani branch of Academy of Sciences of USSR (ABAS USSR) with a number of institutions, including geology sector.

In 1938 the geology sector was reformed into an independent research institution – Geology Institute on initiative of major Azerbaijan scientists – Sh.A. Azizbekov, M.A.Kashkay, A.A.Yakubov.

The forming and development of the institution coincided with a period of rapid development of Azerbaijan oil and gas industry.

Lutsk National Technical University

About University

In the southern suburb of ancient and everlasting young Lutsk there is a University campus of LNTU. Generations of young people have graduated from it getting a start in life here. Lutsk National Technical University has 8 faculties, and 5 filial.

History

According to the decision of the former Ministry for higher and secondary specialized education of the URSR the branch of General Engineering Faculty of Kyiv Road-transport Institute was founded in Lutsk in 1966. On April 1, 1991 he Council of Ministers of the URSR passed a resolution Т87 on the formation of Lutsk Industrial Institute on the basis of Lutsk Branch of Lviv Polytecnical Institute. The 24th of December, 1997 was a very important day in the history of the educational establishment

Research

Research work of LNTU teachers and students forms the basis of instruction and education, it is the ground of their constant intellectual growth and training specialists of world standards. The main tasks of it are: to ensure unity of science, production and instruction; to direct fundamental and applied researches at decision of topical problems of the market economy, regional power supply, working out  modern technologies and machine design;  to provide close and fruitful co-operation with institutions of Ukrainian National Academy of Science and branch academies; to develop international scientific and technical co-operation, to extend integration processes; to improve the work of scientific schools, the system of training young scientists – masters, candidates and doctors of science.

Trade Co-operative University of Moldova

About University

Trade Co-operative University of Moldova (TCUM), founded in 1993 under Government’s Decision no. 376 from 22.06.1993 and the decision of the Executive Board of the Central of Consumer Cooperatives of Moldova (Moldcoop) no. 10 from 06.24.2013, during the two decades of activity chose excellence and competitiveness, the implementation of European policies in education, asserting itself as a modern education and research center, which provides initial and continuous training programs and fulfills important research – innovation – development projects.

TCUM involved in a continuous process of modernization and diversification from the first years. In its academic activity, the University focuses on the priorities of the Bologna process, adjusting its structure and educational content to European architecture. TCUM currently offers 15 undergraduate programs, 20 master programs, doctoral studies in six specialties, around 50 training programs for adults etc. The academic programs cover a wide range of areas – economics, trade, science of commodities, marketing, business and administration, accounting, finance, tourism, procurement etc., are based on a sound fundamental and applied education, developing professional competences of graduates, being permanently linked to the needs of labor market and objectives of economic development of the country, thanks to efficient collaboration with the business environment.

History

Bamenda University of Science and Technology is a 4 year Arts, Science and Technology University founded 1995 and went operational in 1998. Degrees offered include B.A., B.Ed., B.Sc., HND.,SRN., AN., Lab. Tech., and Assist. Lab. Tech. Formalities for Post Graduate Studies are gradually being put in place and Distance Learning are gradually being put in place, to go operational by the next academc year 2010/2011. Its main national affiliate is the University of Buéa, though other partnership arrangements are under way with the University of Dschang. Internationally, BUST is affiliated to the University of Osnabrueck (Germany) and the University of Wales at Bangor (UK).

National State Tax Service University of Ukraine

The national State Tax Service University has 6 faculties , and  30 departments . This university include Kiev financial and economic college ,Institute of postgraduate education ,Research institute of financial law ,Publishing and information Centre  , Scientific Library.

History

The National State Tax Service University of Ukraine history broke out in 1921 from the Ukrainian peat technical school which was located in Kyiv on Tymofiyivs’ka street, 12. A member of the Academy of sciences of Ukraine Klopotov B.M. was appointed the first director. During the Great Patriotic war the technical school was destroyed, but in March, 1944 it began to function under the name of “Irpin mine fuel technical school”.  In 1951 an educational building (nowadays the main building of the university) was set in operation. Volodymyr Ivanovych was appointed the director of the technical school in 1969. For the period from 1969 till 1990 the number of graduates made up 16 653 persons and Irpin industrial technical school was reorganized in a secondary educational institution of a new type – Irpin industrial technical school (college). In 1996 on the base of Irpin financial and industrial college the Ukrainian financial and economic institute subordinated to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine was created, and since November, 15, 1996 it was transferred to submission of the State tax administration of Ukraine. The institute carried out educational activity on such qualifying levels: junior specialist; bachelor; specialist. In 1999 the State Tax Service Academy of Ukraine was founded on the basis of the Ukrainian financial and economic institute. On the August, 23, 2006 National University of State Tax Service of Ukraine was created on the base of Academy.

About university

The University carries out its activities in the following areas : law, business , engineering , teaching , humanities and social sciences . Currently preparing for 14 majors in undergraduate majors and five – a master’s degree .

Teaching staff consists of 141 teachers with a great scientific experience , including eight doctors and 64 candidates of sciences. Are invited to give lectures famous scientists of the leading universities in the country and abroad, such as: ES Lobster, OA Aitbaev , GE Yesim , EI Kairzhanov , SS Sarybaev , TK Tleuov , IT Utepbergenov , SA Atanbaev , AV Novikov, EI Rau, AA Strizhenko .

History

In Kazakhstan, by far the largest private university is the University ”Қaynar”. His story began in 1991 in Almaty , which is closely related to the fundamental changes that have been made possible with the proclamation of the independence of the republic . In a short time university become one of the country’s well-known institutions of higher learning , a clear indicator of its development was the opening of branches in other regions of the country .

One of them – the University ” Kynar ” ( Families ), which in 1996 was originally opened as a training and consultancy centers . Then, by the decision of the Academic Council was transformed into a branch of the University Semipalatinsk ” Kynar “, and in 2008 received the present name .

In the educational process of the University ” Қaynar ” ( Families ) quality management system , high school certified to ISO 9001:2008 International Certification Body «Total Quality Certification Services International» on the basis of accreditation JAS-ANZ.

Magazine “Gylym қaynary ” is registered in the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan 07.03.2009 , certificate number 9928 – F . The magazine has an international certificate. Registered with the International Centre for the Standard Serial ISSN ( Unesco, Paris, France ) , given the international number ISSN 2077-9690.

Magazine “Gylym қaynary ” published since 2009 as a periodic scientific , methodological and scientific- educational publication devoted to topical issues of education , psychology , philosophy , and history. In addition, the magazine academics local and foreign universities publish their work in economics , finance, information technology. As additional sections of the magazine also publishes works on jurisprudence and sociology.
