Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade
About University
The University follows the best and long-standing traditions of the national system of higher education. The University has the 4th level of accreditation. The University incorporates the Pre-University Training Centre and “Abiturient” Centre to train and support prospective students. The University structure includes the following subdivisions: the Institute of Accounting and Finance, the Institute of Economics and Management, the Institute of Foodstuff Industries, the Faculty of Marketing, Trade and Customs Activities ,the Faculty of Hotel and Restaurant Business, Sevastopol Economic and Technological Faculty, the Institute for Post Diploma Studies, Donetsk College of Technology and Design, training centres in Dokuchaevsk, Kramatorsk, Mariupol and Shakhtyorsk.
History
Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade has a long history. The stages of its development explicitely reflect periods of Ukrainian modern history.
As an academic establishment the University gets its origin from the Higher Co-operative Courses for Instructors which functioned under the Central Ukrainian Co-operative Committee since the autumn of 1917. These Courses served as a base for the Ukrainian Co-operative Institute set up in January 1920 by the initiative of professor M.I.Tugan-Baranovsky.
Research
Due to the fruitful efforts of lots of scientists generations of DonNUET, the largest regional scientific potential in the field of economics, trade and food technologies has been created. The researches of scientific schools on the theory of market, economics and trade finance, accounting, analysis and audit, marketing and commercial activity, marketing management, foodstuff equipment, commodity research and expertise became internationally recognised.For the last four years the University has been recognised by the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sport of Ukraine as the best one among economic universities on scientific activity.
Significant attention is paid by the University to student scientific activities.
DonNUET students take part in different contests and festivals, diploma projects and scientific papers competitions.

Kostanai State University
About University
Kostanay State University was founded on August 6, 1992 as a result of resolution of the Cabinet of the Republic of Kazakhstan №662. According to this resolution Kostanay State Pedagogical Institute was reorganized into Kostanay State University.
History
August 21, 1939 The Presidium of Kustanai Oblast Executive Council of People’s Deputies adopted a decree “On the organization of Kustanai Teachers’ Institute on the basis of Kazakh Pedagogical College”. Students were taught two years at two departments: the natural geographical and physical-mathematical. The first director who was appointed there was Ibrayev Daulet.
June 17, 1944 On the Decision of the SPC of the Kazakh SSR and CCCP (b) № 351 “On the perpetuation of the memory of the Kazakh national hero Amangeldi Imanov” Kustanai teacher’s institute is named after Amangeldi Imanova
July 5, 1955 By the order of the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic dated July 1, 1955 № 560-p and the order of the Ministry of Education of the Kazakh SSR dated July 5, 1955 №267, it was decided to organize Kustanai State Pedagogical Institute on the basis of the teachers’ institute.
December 8, 1972 By the Decision of the Central Committee of Kazakhstan and the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR №630 Amangeldy Imanov Kustanai State Pedagogical Institute was renamed into the Institute for the 50th Anniversary of the USSR.
The development of virgin lands required additional training of personnel for agriculture of Kostanai region. This led to the fact that in 1964-1966 in Kustanai there were created training and consultancy centers “PPC” for the students of distance learning Tselinograd Agricultural Institute (headed by N. Gromov).
September 20, 1966 By order of the Minister of Agriculture of the USSR № 309 “On organization of Kustanai region branch of Tselinograd Agricultural Institute” a branch of Tselinograd Agricultural Institute was organized. The branch of the institute was located in the village Zarechny (n. Konezavod).
July 13, 1978 By the resolution of the Council of Ministers №469 on the basis of Kustanai branch of Tselinograd Agricultural Institute Kustanai Agricultural Institute in Kustanai was organized. On December 1, 1978 at a ceremony of the opening of the institute, Peter Iosifovich Chuzhinov was appointed a rector.
August 6, 1992 by the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 662 Kustanai State Pedagogical Institute named for the 50th anniversary of the USSR was transformed into Kustanai State University.
April 3, 1996 by the order of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 384 Kustanai State University was renamed Akhmet Baitursynov Kustanai State University.
November 17, 1998 The University was visited by the President of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev and with his participation Kostanai State University organized the first International Intervideoconference, which was attended by both teachers and 2,000 students from 5 universities of Kostanai region and about 40 people from State University of Oklahoma in the United States. One of the issues discussed at the conference, was connected with the widespread use of information technology in education and, in particular, the development and introduction of distance learning computer. The President praised the work of the University, calling it one of the best universities in the country.
In accordance with Article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on December 9, 1993 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on June 17, 1997 the spelling of Kustanai was changed into Kostanai. The title Kustanai State University was changed into Akhmet Baitursynov Kostanai State University.
February 14, 2000 in accordance with the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 236 “On some measures for the integration of education and science of Kazakhstan” Kostanai Agricultural Institute became part of A. Baytursynov KSU.
September 15, 2000 – the opening of the Monument of the prominent state politician and prominent scientist-linguist Akhmet Baitursynov by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, who called A.Baitursynov the Teacher of the Nation.
September 12, 2002 – The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev met with the staff of A.Baitursynov Kostanai State University.
February 3, 2004 By the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 128 “On organization of individual State Enterprise of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan” State Pedagogical Institute was separated from A. Baitursynov Kostanai State University.
September 18, 2009 – the beginning of a new stage in the development of international relations of. A. Baitursynov KSU marked the signing of Great Charter of Universities (Bologna, Italy) by the Rector of the University Nametov A.M. This enabled the university to declare itself on the international level as one of the most progressive universities in the region.
Research
Science in A. Baitursynov KSU today is represented by scientific schools, highly qualified teaching staff, scientific journal, competitive Master Post-graduate and Doctorate programmes, international cooperation with foreign institutions of higher education. These are a worthy input into Kazakhstani Science and research.
The university is aimed at the integration of education and research, development of priority scientific directions and creative youth support. All necessary pre-conditions such as access to information sources, juridical support, material and technological support are available at the university. Science starts with those who create, save and transmit it to further generations. All teachers, post-graduate students, doctorate programmes’ participants and some students are involved in science and research programmes.
At present there are some scientific schools of applied sciences in the university:
● increasing of agricultural crops productivity genetic potential and mastering agricultural technologies for different agricultural and ecological regions of North Kazakhstan based on innovation principles of intensification, ecologization and resource supply for sustainable productivity of agricultural territories and regeneration of fertile soil;
● increasing of productivity genetic potential; animal, bird and fish feeding, keeping and reproductive technologies mastering;
● working out of techniques , including biotechnological ones, of diagnostics of means of agricultural animals, poultry and fish’ disease prevention and cure, food safety support;
● working out and implementation innovation technologies in the field of automation and technical maintenance in the sphere of agricultural and industrial complex;
● working out of energy saving technologies and alternative sources of energy. Development of construction materials for modern technology devices;
● professional education quality and competitiveness improving. Working out and implementation innovation technologies into educational process;
● scientific support of economic relations system within agricultural and food supply sphere, promoting productivity, competitiveness of agricultural production and people’s demand in inner and outer market, villagers’ social conditions improving;
● social and humanitarian sciences, historical and cultural, psychological research of Kazakhstani society’ development within the frames of globalization.
International projects
Development of international cooperation of A.Baitursynov Kostanay State University is carried out in accordance with the Regulations on International Cooperation and supposes:
- Participation in International Educational Programmes;
- Developmentof scientific andacademic collaboration with educational and scientific institutions on the basis of contracts, memorandums, and agreements.
ERASMU SMUNDUS and TEMPUS projects contribute to internationalization of the educational process in the university
International activity of the university aims at internationalization of the educational process in the university; integration of the university into global educational area; improvement of quality of education and research.
International agreements and memorandums suppose:
- sharing experience in teaching methods;
- involvement of scholars into educational process;
- fostering academic mobility of students and academic staff;
- joined research;
- organization of meetings, symposiums, seminars and conferences in cooperation;
- fostering publications on the results of research and joint projects in journals;

Kokshetau State University
About University
The Kokshetau State University named after Sh. Ualikhanov is a multilevel structure, which includes diversified college, the bachelor degree, the MA course and the Ph.D.
The Higher Education Institution gives training opportunity on fifty four specialties of a bachelor degree and twenty seven specialties of a MA course. Preparation of doctoral candidates of PhD is carried out on specialties: Philology, Mathematics, Pedagogics and Psychology.
Kokshetau State University named after Sh. Ualikhanov – the modern, dynamic, developing Higher Education Institution aimed at conquest of scientific and educational tops.
Higher education institution mission – formation by Kokshetau State University named after Sh. Ualikhanov of the scientific and educational environment in which preparation of the highly qualified specialists demanded on a labor market of the northern region of Kazakhstan and the country as a whole, possessing values, knowledge and competences according to the current requirements of society is realized.
History
The first actual graduates of young specialists in a full-time department numbered 99 people (1966), on a distant education department – 69 (1967). First high achiever graduates: K.K.Zhanbayev (Physics and Mathematisl Faculty), E.N.Samusenko, A.I.Odintsova (Philology Faculty).
According to Resolution of Council of Ministers KazSSR of March 29, 1965 No. 241 the Kokchetav Pedagogical Institute was named after the first Kazakh scientist-educator Chokan Chingizovich Valikhanov.
In 70-80 years there were considerable achievements in institute activity, and it was a guarantee of creative and fruitful work of rectors of HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION E.I.Boyarskogo and K.D.Zholamanova.
The educative and resources base of Institute of Higher Education was thoroughly strengthened, qualitative level of the faculty raised. New specialties were open: Kazakh language and Literature (1982), Chemistry, Biology (1984), Fine arts and drawing (1985), Computer science; new faculties are organized: Chemistry and Biology (1985), faculty of Professional Development of Directors (1979). Number of students grew up to 2500 people.
In 1963 in Kokshetau the general technical faculty of the Pavlodar industrial institute was opened, engineer M.F.Rysikov became its first dean.
In 1972 general technical faculty of the Pavlodar industrial institute became the part of the Karaganda Polytechnic Institute.
Training carried out in an evening form on specialties: “Industrial and civil engineering”, “Technology of mechanical engineering”, “Cars and automobile economy”. The specialty “Radio engineering” was opened in 1988.
Since 1990 the faculty opens a distant training department, and in 1991 carries out the first intake on full-time tuition on specialties: “Economy and management in construction”, “Technology of mechanical engineering”. On the basis of general technical faculty in 1993 the Kokshetau branch of polytechnic Institute is organized.
In 2001 according to the Resolution of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kokshetau StateUniversity named after Sh. Ualikhanov was renamed into the Republican State Government Enterprise ” Shokan Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University”.

The Center for International Cooperation, Academic Mobility and Polylinguism sets following targets and tasks:
- Preparation and conclusion mutual cooperative agreements with foreign universities;
- Participation in planning and monitoring of international relations, established between our university and foreign organizations;
- Participation in organizing and leading of multilateral and bilateral activities according to the international cooperation strategy;
- Setting up grants and internship database, provide a consultation support about study abroad opportunities for university stuff and students;
- Enrollment of foreign students in accordance with international cooperative agreements and contracts;
- Control of passport and visa issues for foreign visitors coming in the university;
- Search and establishment of contacts with foreign partners and their representatives in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Realization of joint research projects;
- Assistance to the realization of studying programs “Kazakh language as mother tongue and as a foreign language”, “Russian language as a foreign language” and other language programme;
- Organization of study abroad programmes for students, teaching and university stuff;
Practical aims of the Center are the development of students’ and teachers’ academic mobility; implementation of the Bologna process principles and Erasmus+, Erasmus Mundus, Horizon 2020, Tempus IV programmes; providing courses of foreign languages.
We are sure that the international cooperation will promote not only the modernisation of education, but also the pavement of the way for the passage to competitive, dynamic, based on the scientific knowledge economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Ternopil State Medical University
About University
I.Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University ranks third in Ukraine among the higher medical schools of the IVth accreditation level according to the latest rating list of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.In the latest rating list of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine I.Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University. Almost 1200 international students from 62 countries of the world study at the University.
History
The appointed Director the Medical Institute, Candidate of Medical Sciences, surgeon P.O. Ogiy and prof. Martynyuk A.H., the vice-rector, arrived to Ternopil. By the decision of the Regional Council, two educational buildings and two hostels were allotted to the Institute. The clinical base was provided by the City Hospital that had been functioning then as the Regional Hospital. Morphological building, Regional Hospital and a new hostel were under construction. 19 departments began functioning at the Institute, 66 teachers were working there.
Research
Ternopil state medical university has close relations with another European university – the Medical University of Vienna. 25 our teachers improved their teaching and medical skills here. The Rector L. Ya. Kovalchuk and Ukrainian governmental delegation together with two vice ministers of Health care of Ukraine took part in the negotiations with the rector of Medical University of Vienna professor Wolfgang Schütz. They discussed the establishment of the university clinics in Ukraine. Doctor Wolfgang Schütz shared with the clinic management experience of the Medical University of Vienna, which, by the way, is the largest one in Europe. He told about its structure, submission principles of worker which belong different categories and the sources of its funding. The Ukrainian delegation remained satisfied with the results of the meeting. An obtained information during the negotiations will be used for the creation of the statute about the university clinics in Ukraine.
International projects
- The strategic task of the International Relations Department (IRD) is integration of the TSMU into the international educational space and promotion of the cooperation between the university and foreign educational, research and clinical institutions.
- The other important tasks of the IRD include:
- Assistance to the university staff and university departments in creating and implementing projects in international cooperation.
- Establishing the contacts with foreign educational and research institutions, agencies, funds and their representatives in Ukraine.
- Support and promotion of the relations with foreign partners in joint research projects, exchange of the teaching staff and students.
- Providing consulting concerning the possibilities for the joint research, studying and training abroad.

History
«European University» is one of the largest Private Higher Educational Establishments of Ukraine with over 30 thousand students, including foreigners from 15 countries, studying in 26 specialties. The University was founded in 1991 by the family of scientists – Tymoshenko Ivan Ivanovych, his wife Tymoshenko Zoia Ivanivna and their daughter Tymoshenko Olena Ivanivna. During 18 years of the University’s work, the Tymoshenko family created a modern Higher Educational Establishment, where work over 1600 faculty members.

The Director of the International Educational and Preparatory Center is Dr.Riznychenko Serafima Tymofiivna, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Candidate of Science in Pedagogy, Associate Professor.
The International Educational and Preparatory Center of European University was established in 1997. The Center’s task is to help the University occupy the proper place in the European scientific and educational community.
The Center gives foreign citizens the opportunity to receive pre-university training in Economics, Humanitarian Engineering and Technical, Medical and Biological fields, also provides teaching of Ukrainian (Russian) for the postgraduate and doctoral students, businessmen from foreign countries. The teachers who work in the Center are professionals with teaching experience of 15 and more years.

- International activity of European University is aimed to ensure its integration into the international university community, getting by the University additional opportunities for the accelerated development in the framework of the Bologna Process and
- European Integration. European University carries out international cooperation with foreign universities and educational centers at the local and global levels. In January, 2003 European University became a member of the International Association of Universities. Information about European University is included in the UNESCO reference books: «International Reference Book of Universities», «Training Abroad».
- European University is the co-organizer of the public discussions on the European Integration difficulties. In 2003 the University received the grant from the Council of Europe to run the seminar «National Minorities’ Educational Rights».

National University of Odesa Law Academy
About university
The National University of Odesa Law Academy – a center of legal education and Science of Ukraine – is a leading institution of higher education in law, successor of glorious traditions of Odessa National Law Academy.
By decision of the State Accreditation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine University is licensed and certified to conduct educational activities at the highest level IV accreditation, which allowed the provision of higher education (including foreign nationals) at the level of qualification requirements for specialist and MA degrees “jurisprudence”.
History
National University of Odesa Law Academy “follows the rich traditions of Odessa law school, whose history is rooted more in 1847 (when the existence of the law faculty Rishelevskaya Lyceum – First High School in Odessa). In 1865 the Faculty joined the Imperial University of Novorossiysk. In 1997, when legal scholarship and education in Odessa, turned 150 years old, Law Institute of Odessa State University was transformed into the Odessa State Academy of Law.
Research
National University has taken part repeatedly in realization of scientific and research, technical and humanitarian projects of European Union and UN. At the University it is held conferences and symposiums which results influence on development of legal science and practice not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe in the whole. Every year at the University foreign scientists and lawyers work reading their own designers courses in English, currently more than 350 foreign students from 26 countries of the world study at the University.

About University
Innovative University of Eurasia (Pavlodar, Kazakhstan) is a multi-discipline university in Kazakhstan, offering 57 programs in Engineering, Economics, Law, Natural Sciences, and Humanities.
History
19 Feb 1991 – the first Scientific Industrial Centre (SIC) in the Pavlodar region was founded.
1994 – Kazakhstan-Russian University was established.
1995 – Kazakhstan-Russian University was renamed to the Institute of Economics and Engineering.
1997 – the Institute of Economics and Engineering was renamed to Pavlodar University.
2006 – Pavlodar University was renamed to the Innovative University of Eurasia
There are over 8000 students at the university, including 1500 students who hold the state educational grants, grants of foreign entrepreneurs, and grants of Akim of Pavlodar region. The study language is Kazakh, English, and Russian languages. There are full-time and part-time programs, and distance learning education.

Zaporizhzhya National University
About University
Zaporizhzhya National University (ZNU) is a State-sponsored university in Zaporizhzhya, Ukraine. Its full name is, “Zaporizhzhya National University of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Ukraine.”
History
On August 11th, 1930 Sovnarkom Ukraine approved the list of 27 institutes and departments, including the Zaporizhzhya Institute of Education. In 1931, the Institute of Education was renamed the Pedagogical Institute of Vocational Education. It was later renamed the Zaporozhye State Pedagogical Institute in 1933. Zaporozhye State University has been a member of the European University Association (EATE) since 1999. In 2003, ZNU became a member of the International Association of Sociology and Administration. In 2004, ZNU became a member of the Ukrainian Association of Educational Management. On December 24, 2004, the President of Ukraine granted it the status of National University. In 2008, Zaporizhzhya National University opened it’s Economics and Law Schools. On February 1, 2009 – subject to Shopping college. On March 30, 2009 the Economics and Humanities Schools were created in Melitopol. On November 18, 2011, the Zaporizhzhya National University was admitted into the Eurasian Association of Universities. In 2011, it opened 13 new majors.

Pryazovskyi State Technical University
About University
Pryazovskyi State Technical University is one of the oldest educational establishments in Donetsk Oblast. PSTU was certified by ІSО 9001:2008 and has 4th level (the highest) accreditation. PSTU was founded in 1930 as a professional training school for the workers of ILYICH Iron & Steel Works. Originally Mariupol Metallurgical Institute, in 1993 the Cabinet of Ukraine issued Resolution No.956, making it a Technical University. The university has 10 faculties and 45 departments. PSTU is the largest academic and scientific centre in the South-East of Ukraine. History
PSTU was founded in November 1930 as a professional training school. In 1933 it became Mariupol Metallurgical Institute. From 1948 until 1989 it was Zhdanov Metallurgical Institute. From 1989 – 1993 it again became Mariupol Metallurgical Institute. The Postgraduate Department was established in 1960. In 1993 PSTU received university status and became Pryazovskyi State Technical University. Since 2009 its official name is State Higher Education Institution “Pryazovskyi State Technical University”.

Students really interested in medical and health care centres; International Club; driving school; sport centre and all-year-round football field; summer camp on the Sea of Azov; Meothida disco club; Magia fashion studio; musical theatre-studio. The non-locals are provided with accommodation in the university dormitories.

PSTU collaborates with universities in Germany, Poland, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Greece, Turkey, Egypt and China under student and teacher exchange programs (semester studies, internships, joint research activities). The University is a participant of TEMPUS and DAAD joint international projects.

Kyiv National Linguistic University
About University
Kyiv National Linguistic University has 3 educational facilities where classes are held, 4 student dormitories, a computerized library with more than 1 million books in storage, 10 computer classes for 300 students, a modern sports center, a student cafeteria and various buffets. Over the last decade, the university established the Economics and Law Faculty, the Faculty of Translation, the Faculty of Oriental Studies, and 10 new specialized departments. Since 2011 there 7 faculties due to the structural reorganization. Today, the University maintains comprehensive cooperation with educational and cultural missions of foreign countries in Ukraine (American House, British Council, Goethe Institute, the French Cultural Center, and Japanese Cultural Center). In 1993, the first UNESCO Chair in Ukraine was established at the University.
History
Kyiv National Linguistic University is the successor of the Kyiv State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages, established by the Ministry of Education of the USSR (Decree № 524/69 of March 30, 1948). By the Decree № 592 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of August 29, 1994 the Kyiv State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages was renamed Kyiv State Linguistic University. The University is a founder of the Ukrainian branch of the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL).
Research
The University carries out scientific research concerning fundamental and applied problems of jurisprudence, apparently 17 targeted complex programs are being developed on four scientific directions, famous scientific schools known in Ukraine and abroad have been formed. The University has been awarded by the Gold Medal of XIII International Exhibition of educational establishments “Modern Education in Ukraine 2010″ in the nomination «Innovations in using IT technologies in the educational process» for the innovative project «Modern architecture of informative educational environmental» (foresight-project); has taken the first prize and awarded by Diploma in the nomination of «Innovation in higher education» for the innovative project «Semantic informative educational portal of the National University “Yaroslav the Wise Law Academy of Ukraine”» in the international exhibition-presentation «Innovation in the education of Ukraine»; has taken the Grand Prize «The Leader of the higher education of Ukraine» in the international exhibition «Modern educational establishments 2010».
International projects
The University has wide international contacts. It established cooperation and signed agreements with educational establishments of Great Britain, Vietnam, Spain, Germany, Poland, Russian Federation, USA, Uzbekistan, France and other countries. It is a participant of joint European projects in the network of «Tempus-Tasis» program and many other international projects. On September 18, 2004 the University signed the Bologna Process. On December 14, 2007 the University became the member of the European University Association. On November 20, 2011 a chapter of the International Law Students Association was established on the basis of the University’s international law society.
